These fast and easy recipe for delicious air fryer jalapeño poppers are a breeze to make in the air fryer, and come together start to finish in about 30 minutes!

Great for family gatherings, game day, or your next party, these jalapeño peppers are one of the best appetizers - ready in a flash, with a reduced cooking time thanks to the air fryer! There is no need to preheat or warm up the whole house to make delicious, crispy and cheesy poppers at home whenever the mood strikes! This is one of my go-to air fryer recipes for having company over last minute, and takes much less time than using a traditional oven and baking sheet method (the air fryer is a real game changer!).
Make these for your next gathering, and they are sure to be a huge hit with your guests, and all lovers of spicy foods! These easy air fryer bacon wrapped poppers are a classic finger food, made in a fraction of the time!

Ingredients
These easy air fryer jalapeno poppers come together and cook quickly and easily in the air fryer! To make them, you will need:
- ½ brick of cream cheese, softened to room temperature. I recommend full fat cream cheese for the cream cheese filling.
- Shredded smoked Gouda cheese. Hand shred your own cheese for the best flavor and texture.
- Bacon. I prefer to go with a standard cut bacon over a thick cut for this recipe.
- Garlic powder, for a touch of aromatic flavor.
- Freshly ground black pepper.
- Jalapeno peppers. You'll slice these in half lengthwise, and remove the seeds and white flesh. I like to use a spoon to do this step.

How to make Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos in the Air Fryer
With a little bit of prep, these Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers cook up in just 12 minutes per batch! Here's how to make them:
- Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise, and remove seeds. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese, smoked gouda, garlic powder and black pepper until well combined.
- Stuff each pepper half with the cream cheese mixture, being careful not to overfill.
- Wrap each pepper with a piece of bacon, and secure with toothpicks.
- Place the wrapped jalapeño poppers evenly in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may have to do this in 2 batches, depending on the size of your particular air fryer model. (I did 2 batches, as I have a smaller air fryer).
- Air fry the poppers at 375 degrees F for 12-13 minutes, until the cheese turns golden brown and bacon is crisp and cooked through. (Keep in mind cook time may vary depending on the type of air fryer).
- Remove from air fryer, allow to cool slightly, remove toothpicks (if desired) and serve warm! (*See recipe card below for full ingredients and instructions).

Serving the Poppers
Once the poppers are cooked through, carefully remove them from the air fryer basket and allow to rest for a few minutes before serving. You can remove the toothpicks, or serve them as is and allow your guests to remove them.
You can serve them as is, or with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing. These poppers make a great additon to any party appetizer table or game day spread. The recipe is easily adjusted to make more for a larger crowd, too!

Substitutions and Additions
Here are some great swaps and additions you can use to make this recipe your own, or use what you have on hand:
- Add some sliced green onions to the cream cheese mixture for extra flavor, or use them as a garnish when serving.
- Substitute cheddar cheese or pepper jack cheese for the smoked Gouda cheese.
- If you use thick-cut bacon, you may need to adjust the cooking time to ensure it cooks through.
- Use onion powder instead of garlic powder.
- if you like things even more on the spicy side, you can add some cayenne to the cream cheese mixture.
- If you love bacon, you can use whole bacon slices, rather than halves.
Storing leftovers
Store any leftover poppers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Gently reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes prior to serving.
