Fall Spiced Simple Syrup

Servings: 1.5 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise pod
  • 2 whole cloves 

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a small saucepan, and heat over medium-high heat.
    2. Bring to to a boil, and stir to dissolve sugar.
    3. Once boiling. reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes,
    4. Turn off heat, cool to room temperature and strain. Discard whole spices.
    5. Transfer to airtight container or mason jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
