This Grated Egg Avocado Toast (Viral TikTok Recipe) is a great way to spice up your avocado toast for breakfast! With a quick and easy spiced-up mayo spread, creamy avocado slices, finely grated hard boiled egg, and spicy sriracha sauce!

Ingredients

  • 1 hard boiled egg
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • salted butter (softened)
  • 1-2 slices crusty bread, such as sourdough or rustic whole grain 
  • ½ tablespoon Mayonaise (preferably Kewpie)
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh grated lime zest
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and black pepper, to taste 
  • black or white sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • Sriracha sauce, to taste

Instructions

  • Spread softened butter evenly over bread on both sides,
  • Add to a nonstick frying pan or skillet, and heat over medium heat for 3-4 minutes a side, until golden brown.
  • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, lime zest, and garlic powder.
  • Place toasted bread on a plate, and spread a thin layer of the mayo mixture over each bread slice
  • Layer sliced avocado over toast(s), and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Using a microplane or handheld or box grater, finely grate egg evenly over toast(s).
  • Top with a sprinkle of black or white sesame seeds, and a drizzle of sriracha sauce.
