Equipment

  • shallow pie plate or dish (preferably glass)
  • stand mixer or hand mixer

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz block of cream cheese, softened to room temperature 
  • ½ cup sour cream (preferably full fat)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon Tajin seasoning or chili-lime seasoning
  • 1 16 oz jar prepared red salsa 
  • 4 oz shredded sharp yellow cheddar (preferably hand shredded)
  • 1 scallion, thinly sliced
  • sliced jalepenos and cilantro leaves, for garnish 
  • tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

  • Mix together cream cheese, scallion, sour cream, lime juice and Tajin seasoning until well incorporated/smooth with a stand mixer or electric mixer.
    2. Layer into a shallow glass bowl or pie plate.
    3. Top with salsa, then with shredded cheddar cheese.
    4. Top with jalapeños and cilantro, and serve with tortilla chips.
