- 1 lb Scrapple, cut into ¼"-½" thick slices (about 14 slices)
Cut the Scrapple into slices. Be sure to slice the Scrapple evenly, so it cooks evenly. 2. Layer the scrapple slices in one even layer in the air fryer (with no overlapping pieces), and set the air fryer to 400 degrees for 10 minutes. 3. After 10 minutes, flip the scrapple over, and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Repeat with additional slices, if desired. Serve hot!
- No oil needed: Scrapple contains enough fat to crisp in the air fryer without oil, butter, or cooking spray.
- Don’t flip too early: Let the first side get firm and crispy before flipping so the slices don’t fall apart.
- Slice evenly: About ¼-inch thick gives you crisp edges with a soft, creamy center.
- For thicker slices: You can cut the scrapple up to about ½ inch thick if you prefer a softer center.
- Cook in a single layer: Leave a little space between slices so the hot air can circulate and crisp the scrapple evenly.
- If a piece breaks: Gently press it back together and keep cooking; it should firm up as it crisps.
